Hello from me, Kristen Powers...

Drawing, coloring and "making stuff" has always been a part of my life. Luckily my mom didn't mind a bit when, at three years old, I decided to decorate the wall heater with a beautiful rainbow made of melted oil pastels!

I have been really blessed with a wonderful family, that includes my terrific husband (still married, even after designing this site together!) Three beautiful, healthy kids (who are really understanding about why I don't share my markers!) Two lovely step-daughters (who always help me organize my markers-even though i won't share them!) A great sister and brother-in-law (and the best next door neighbors ever!) Two super-cute nieces (love you girls-even though I have to bribe you with craft projects to get you to come over!) Last but not least, my mom and pop (miss you both, dearly, every day.)

Yes, my life has been, like most people, filled with ups and downs. But I am appreciative of every moment and I wouldn't change a thing (well, okay, maybe a couple things!!)

As an artist, I have had some wonderful opportunities and experiences. I have designed an extensive line of rubber stamps, created and taught arts and crafts projects all across the U.S., appeared on The Carol Duvall Show and Home Matters, co-wrote and hosted two instructional crafting videos, designed teddy bear t-shirts for the hugely popular Build-A-Bear Workshop®, created a line of italian charms, and had my fabric designs on collections in Hancock's and Joanne's nationwide! (Whew!)

Presently, I am pursuing my BFA in Graphic Design at Maryville University. (I like to say,"I'm not a late bloomer-I'm still blooming!") I continue to draw, color and "make stuff".
